This handloom woven fabric is called binakol. The geometric pattern of this big circle, is a variation from the "binakol kusikos" which is a swirl of geometric patterns supposedly used to confuse evil spirits and prevent them from entering their houses. It was used by the old folk much like the way the "evil eye" amulet is used in the Mediterranean.
